Ok, and? 1) the hybrid system was awful and a lot of parents (of all income levels!) decided they’d rather keep kids home for consistency’s sake. 2) since when do we let people just opt out of school? We set a dangerous precedent when we make education “optional.” It’s bad for society at large. Look at the history of public education and the progressive movements of the late 1800s/early 1900s. So true.  I wasn’t about to send my high schooler back in person, only to be one of a handful in her classes, staring at her computer while her teachers remained at home.  She can do that just as well from home.  The whole “return to school!” was such a farce. [/quote]
