Until my Elem kids can be vaccinated, I support them wearing a mask, particularly as schools are going to be much more crowded next year. I drove by an APS elementary this week midday and saw the kids eating outside. They were obviously unmasked and sitting in close clumps of 3-5 students. I imagine through the day they also gather closely - it is natural and I don’t think we should train them out of it. Get them vaccinated; I’m hopeful my kids will be vaccinated by fall next year - if they get the vac they can drop the mask, if not they can double mask. Regardless, I hate that in Arlington all these non-MD parents are jnsisting they give better medical advise than doctors. Or the dermatologist and anesthesiologist in AEM who have become infectious disease experts. Talk about entitlement. [/quote]

Double masking does not always work or make sense. Half the kids I see walking to school have those flimsy cotton masks that are falling below their nose. Their parents cannot be that clueless, they must not care or be anti-maskers.  Our kids wear masks with built in filters or the KN94, which are not to be used for double masking.[/quote]
