Coming in here to post about the damn pudding pops. How can they not bring them back? I swear there's a generation of us that would buy them in a heart beat.
Because there’s probably something in them like trans fats that we aren’t supposed to have so even if they bring them back they would never taste the same. Like the poor imitation that is the remake of Planters Cheez Balls. I was so excited for those. They are awful.
That’s so disappointing to hear! The original Cheez Balls were delicious!
They did bring back Cheez balls for a season back in 2018. Or so they claimed! In fact, (after I spent far too many hours hunting them down, I discovered that) they were nothing like the originals. Which I think strengthens your theory that the originals had something deliciously horrible in them that wouldn’t fly, these days.
I’m PP who wrote about how awful the remake is. They actually still sell them and you can buy them in pretty much any grocery in NE, at least near my parents in CT. I also spent forever tracking down the first rerelease only to be bitterly disappointed. And I’m pretty sure that if I’m going to die because of something that was in Cheez Balls or Pudding Pops, it’s already going to happen because we subsisted on Pudding Pops (both the pudding and gelatin flavors) and Flinstone’s push pops by the pool growing up. And fluffernutter sandwiches. Which I can’t even get my kids to try because they won’t eat peanut butter...I guess since they’ve never been able to have peanut butter in their lunches they’ve just never developed a taste for it.
