Seems like every other poster here makes 200-300k and is married to someone else making a salary in this range. How do you guys find women like this? I make in this range as well but every girl I’ve dated earns below 50k. I’m not sure I want to enter a marriage with such a disparity in earnings, but I cannot for the life of me find a single woman who is at my level career wise. Am I dating too young? I mostly stick with women 25-30. I’m 32.
My wife is 43. She does not have a college degree. At age 25 she was making 55k as an "account manager ". Doesn't hurt that she's a smoke show. She's in IT sales and now on average pulls 400k/yr. Her qualities: -very hard worker -great communicator -very social, people like her -smart -hot Just don't marry someone who wants to have babies and quit working. Also don't marry a beta woman. They are boring and lack ambition. At this point I would not object to her to quit working. She was with a company who went IPO (so major options) and has spent almost 20 years contributing to a 401k. However it is not in her personality to sit at home watching Oprah and organizing PTA bake sales.
And you still don’t care that she does not have a degree?
Why would I care? She makes more money than the vast majority of people with a degree and is smarter than most. I win the jackpot in the lottery of wives. Smart, high earner and a dime.
I would be embarrassed if it came up in social situations. People will look down on her. Plus, how will you tell your kids thaf a college degree is a must?
That is the height of elitism. PP, your wife pulls 400k a year and has worked her way up to get there. Good for her. The “social circles” Can guffaw all they want.
She has had a quarter of a century to get a degree part time. She could get one now.
Why on earth would she bother? Waste of time
Pride
So she can sit around at a cocktail party swirling her wine feeling prideful that she wasted time and money getting a bachelors.degree? We have way better things to do with our time and money. I went to Duke and I make less than her. She had enough to be productive of. A successful career, 3 kids, a loving marriage, and a secure future for our children and ourselves most people with college degrees can only dream of.
Or a personal goal.
So which is it? Should she get a bachelor's degree because she wants to have a conversation about her bachelor's degree over a crudite platter? Which will apparently make her proud? Or should she set a personal goal for something she doesn't need or give a shit about that won't enhance her personal life at all? Sounds like these 2 suggestions are coming from posters intensely insecure about their own inadequacies. She feels happy and content....some posters not so much.
