Parents keep posting about the fall and “next year” as if it’s not just 6 months away. APS has had a year to get us back in. What changes do you hope to see over the next months/summer? Are we banking on more people being vaccinated and less community spread? More APS protocols in place? Will be get to 5 days in person at this rate
Probably.
I think as people get vaccinated, obviously, we will be in more of a position to look at five day school. I’m a teacher, so I sure as hell hope so. I’m in-person four days, and my kids are two, and that’s hard to manage. Please know that I understand that’s half of Arlington right now. I’m not complaining, and I believe we need to do do hybrid right now, for public health and safety, and to benefit the kids. I think we can all agree, though, that this just sucks. If we want change, I think the pressure shouldn’t be on APS, but bigger fish. The vaccine rollout needs to be amped up, for example. I see that as the difference here. I don’t want to do concurrent again!!
