I named my kid first!!!  If the dog had been named first, fine.  If you knew a toddler named Craig at the time you got your dog, would you still have used it?  That's my main beef.  She knew it was my kid's named and still used it for her dog.  We may get a gerbil and I think I'll name it after her :).  No big deal right?!
