People who like the cape aren't denying the sharks. Some of us are saying it doesn't impact us because we prefer the ponds anyway and also go for long bike rides. How is this hard to understand?
+1 Don't bother. Those of us who like the Cape are not like OP, thankfully. Does OP seem happy to you? Do happy, mature, well adjusted people start threads like this one, and go on and on, as if their life depended on it? C'mon. OP is a poor troll, and I am shocked that this tread has not been not locked or deleted. Absurd.
So you are the Crazy Cape Cod Lady! I could tell by your almost child-like belief that only a few people are having a debate. Just to clarify: I’m not the OP. There are many thousands of people posting on dcum, and likely upwards of 2 dozen posting in this thread alone. I for one don’t hate on the Cape. It’s lovely. Truly. I just want you to acknowledge the current shark numbers and concerns instead of pretending it’s not an issue.
...along with the poverty. Did you know CC is currently underway with its annual campaign for The Needy Fund? They have upwards of 4K requests each year, and they’re expecting many more this year. They strategically launch it during the summer season so outsiders/tourists can lend financial support to the locals who struggle. It’s nice, and it’s desperately needed. (But the Crazy Cape Cod Lady doesn’t believe poverty exists on the Cape along with addiction. Her beloved Cape is some sort of magical land where unicorns prance on rainbows and sharks chomp on unwashed mouth breathers only in the OBX.
Not sure what your problem is OP, except that you are psycho - but yes, poverty and drugs exist everywhere. People can come from bad upbringings - sometimes it drives them to drugs, sometimes it drives them to try to disparage places they have never been, or people they have never met - on an anonymous board on the internet. Sometimes people think it is all about them, so they have to go on and on about something they know little if anything about. Sad, huh? What else do you label OP? What else do you hate? Look in the mirror and tell us how much you hate yourself, honestly.
