Because I like to make time for my friends, including those friends who have children who are friends with my children.  I work full-time, as does my husband, but we both make time for friends.  In case you're curious, the fact that you don't doesn't make you better than me.  (Nor does the fact that I do make me better than you, of course, but you seem to have a real air of superiority around your life that is so busy you can't make time for friends.)[/quote]

DP here.  Not sure what you are asking.  Just because people don't hang out with the group that considers themselves popular, doesn't mean that they do not have friends. Some people actively avoid the shallow, catty, vapid group, and have friends from all over their lives - different places they have lived, different degrees they have acquired, different careers they have had over the years, etc. These are not children, though one group acts like it. Some people have choices, thankfully.  [/quote]
