I got a good laugh at the plan sex post, but there may be more truth to this than first appears. Does he realize that his family misses him? Is it possible that the family could be enjoying their day so much that he would wonder what he is missing? Is he a workaholic anyway?  Does he have problems prioritizing or organizing his work? I know my DH sometimes has trouble realizing that there are other people in the world and they may need him especially if he is trying to work out new challenges.
