I read online (so take it with a grain of salt) that Damian is actually in his 30s. Those who had done the sleuthing and put dates together said there was no way he was in his twenties. The prevailing theory was that they already has the age gap storyline going with J and M and so they didn't want anther big gap so they put his age as younger for the show.

He never said he had a conservative family.  They never specified how their political beliefs were different. Given that she said that Venezuela's government destroyed the country, I took it to mean she was against left wing/socialism and he was more liberal.  [/quote]
