We find some of the produce options "too big'. Just can't eat that many grapes before some go bad and we have to toss them.
Freeze them! They're great frozen snacks, even in the dead of winter. You don't need an industrial size refrigerator, contrary to what others here seem to suggest. I can't possibly go through five dozen eggs but they do sell a pack of 18 eggs for an unbeatable price.
Aldi can beat the egg price.
I've priced Aldi and Costco and for us they are nearly the same, costco is a few cents cheaper but you have to buy 18 rather than 12 (which is good for us because 12 isn't enough and 24 is too much). Costco has more reliable quality control than Aldi overall on many products.
Agree on the quality control. Costco produce tends to be fresh and of high quality. Maybe we just eat a lot of fruits/veggies, and in fairness I try to stick to things I know everyone will eat, but we rarely have trouble using it up because it lasts longer than average. I've tried Aldi a few times and maybe it's just the one I go to but the produce always looks kind of sad off the bat and they never have half of what I need anyway. So then I wonder about the freshness of other items.
