It is a Wheaton school that has more SFHs than the avg for that part of the county even if if they run on the cheaper side. But the problem remains with decent elementary schools in marginal areas (as always) is the next level and the level after that when they combine with the not so decent schools that the local parents were happy to avoid initially. [/quote] There are ~22 homes for sale in bounds for Oakland Terrace right now. One $1m, two in the $900s, two around $800k, two in the mid-$700s, one in the $600s, seven in the $500s, six in the mid-400s, and one for $375k. Half of Oakland Terrace pulls from Kensington, half from Silver Spring. There are a few apartment complexes in bounds but it's largely SFHs. If that's"low income" to you, sure.[/quote]
