Some interesting context on the quality of this applied/admitted data. A friend in CA just shared the UC website that reports out all their applied/admitted data by high school and it's quite a bit different from what the magazine reports. For example at W-L, the magazine says 9 applied to UCLA and none were admitted. But UCLA actually reports 18 applied and 3 were admitted. And, some schools that show applications in the magazine don't show it in the UC data set. https://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/admissions-source-school?fbclid=IwAR2A1GBCfN8WfedV1ag7kF0bofjMbWabLvmnrpJcIx6L0i6H2TNuYQedz8U
Isn't one 2019 and the other 2018? Could that be the reason for the discrepancy?
Good point. Here's the Arlington Magazine list for 2018: https://www.arlingtonmagazine.com/college-admissions-a-snapshot/2/ Closer but still not a match. You can see the influence of IB pulling higher achievers out of Yorktown -- across all the UC's W-L's acceptance rate is 64% while Yorktown is 44%. W-L is on par with McLean (64%), both of those a bit higher than Langley (55%). But more Langley and McLean students apply to the UCs.
