Do you often see clusters of kids from the same school/neighborhood? Do you encourage families to give their friends a heads up? My kids got it from sharing helmets at Calleva a few years ago. Just tell people so everyone can check and comb out![/quote]

I wouldn't say I see clusters.  I get calls all over the NOVA area.  I have been in some very fancy, nice houses and some regular homes (like my own).  Rich, poor, nice school districts, no one is immune.  Just like everyone can catch a cold or the flu, anyone can catch lice.

I swear I got lice one time from one brief, momentary hug of another mom friend.  The louse took the opportunity to climb from her to my head.  It just takes an instant of casual contact.  Lice are very, very good at what they do.  [/quote]
