Science must not be your thing? 
Seriously use some common sense and keep the dirty areas - crotch, armpits and hands - clean.  The rest of the areas you are doing more damage to their skin by stripping the oils and then applying a bunch of chemicals in lotion if they didn’t even need a bath. 
Your kids immune systems will suffer if you insist on sanitizing everything because you think it’s “gross”.

There are guidelines by the dermatologists and pediatricians (but unfortunately not the judgey teachers of the world)

Please do read that article. It says bathe kids when they get sweaty which is daily in the summer. Wash those kids![/quote]
