The reality is 1. MCPS has used demographics to establish boundaries for decades 2. lots of places in Montgomery County are zoned for the geographically-nearest school, for various reasons (including but not limited to #1). In some cases, people who say they want to keep the status quo and oppose busing are actually being bused in the status quo.[/quote]
