I listen to other people’s beliefs and try not to debate from a place of passion. I’ve been to church with a friend who does believe in the above, and no I certainly didn’t argue with them. I was a guest and I was thankful to be welcomed.

I would, however, state my opinion if asked. I do believe they’re wrong, but I wouldn’t say “you’re wrong,” because that invites all sorts of insulting language. But I would state my case. [/quote]

I accept! (Or I would if I still lived in the DC area and not in the middle of the country.) My husband is also an atheist and we live in an area that is heavily Christian, so we’ve gotten pretty good at listening to people and/or debating with tact.

Our family just started listening to a wonderful debate podcast for kids called “Smash Boom Best” which is delightful and helps everyone in our house understand the difference between a debate and an argument. Highly recommended. [/quote]
