We are not with FCV, but the first post above is silly.  FCV was one of the original 4 ECNL teams in the area.  Yes, they were the only one that switched to DA, but they are a very successful club and ECNL would take them back in a second.  Silly to suggest otherwise, even hypothetically.[/quote]

Things change. Yes the club used to be well connected to ECNL, but that owner sold the club to one of his coaches and moved on. FCV does not have the facilities, size or other attributes that ECNL clubs need these days. FCV parents talk big game on DCUM but they are a small club. They cannot even field certain age groups. If they did get ECNL, nobody in their right mind would pick them over MYS, Loudoun, or VDA. [/quote]

Man there are some people on here that are either stupid or think everyone else is stupid. First, Arlington isn’t leaving DA and will have full boys DA to match girls as the DCU move west opens up geography for Arlington as some previous posters said.  Arlington is very well run and full of good teams.  Second, FCV is still the best girls club in the DC Metro. It’s not even up for argument. Could that change?  Of course. The above critique of FCV is wishful thinking and completely ignorant of reality.  Sounds like a jilted Loudoun or VDA parent or a McLean coach. And lol, someone posted Loudoun’s standings in ECNL earlier - literally the worst of the ECNL and DA clubs top to bottom.

Will see about Arlington leaving DA.  Not sure where you get your information from but if there are rumors then there is fire and who knows.  Unless you are someone that has credible knowledge, I wouldn't bet on anything.  Things change quickly.  Look what happened between Loudoun and FCV partnership and then Loudoun going ECNL. I know plenty and I know that I know more than the poster that claims FCV is not strong enough for ECNL, can't compete for players and that no player would pick that club.  With that comment, why should we believe anything that poster says about Arlington?  Complete nonsense.  At the elite level, they have the best girls teams in the area at every age group U13 and older.  MYS 02s may be close to the 02/03 FCV team but that's it.[/quote]

If FCV put all their 02s on the same team without playing them up, they would be the strongest 02 team in the area as well.  Loudoun parents need to go check the ECNL standings it seems.  Living in an alternate universe.[/quote]

You are completely out of touch. Loudoun 07s is the top team in VA and the team is intact for next year.  They just beat Penn Fusion 07 DA Pre-Academy 3-1 last month. [/quote]

I believe same story was said about Loudoun 01s 02s 03s 04s 05s and 06s at one point.  That is THE point.  Loudoun wins games at the youngest ages.  Then either best players leave or everyone catches up to the long ball game that wins at U12 and younger.  [/quote]
