Here's why it is so hard to relate to a #BOYMOM versus a mom of boys.

You cannot offer any form of commisseration, identification, sympathy/empathy, or relating to them without them completely dismissing you and trying to diminish you because YOU JUST CAN'T because you're a mother to girls. So you can't know.

So even if your girl is hoarse from shouting, a skinned knee from tree-climbing, covered in dirt and holding up a random animal tooth for inspection, as my oldest girl was today, you just. can't. possibly. because #BOYMOM.

So go ahead, #boymom. I'll stop trying to connect with you or relate to you, or encouraging my kids to play with yours. And then I'll be a snobby, standoffish #girlmom, and you'll continue to be so "unseen."[/quote]
