[/quote] When you wind the chunk of hair around the roller, do it in such a way that you lift up the section and make sure the bristles have some contact with your scalp - but keep it turning. Don't hold it still. I'm not explaining this well, but it gives the top sections of my hair some nice volume when I take the time to really get to the root area and dry it well. [/quote]
