What would you do if someone nicely gave you something for which you have no need and likely something you have received dozens of every few years?  Keep it - so you have a pile of stuff or can’t close a cabinet?  Donate it?  If you get brownies and are on a diet or get nuts and you’re allergic or get a sweater that doesn’t fit or an the 30th ornament that you have no use for - what would you do with it?[/quote]

I’m with you...that’s precisely what I do. And then I donate it. This thread is about this topic. If you don’t want to ever know it’s donated, don’t read the thread anymore. The other thing teachers don’t need is some type of dish with the kids’ signatures on them and glazed over so it’s shiny.

I’d love sweet notes and drawings. I would love some
 Supplies for the classroom for your kids to use.  And although I will appreciate the thought and kindness behind the gesture, if you want to get me something I’ll actually use or something I want, then I’m suggestong no mugs or ornaments. [/quote]
