thank you! I completely understood why the kids were basically background props.  This is a show about a woman trying to make it in a male-dominated, very difficult career. Instead of finding the significance and meaning in THAT story line, people are focusing on why she doesn't spend more time with her kids?  that's not at all what the show's about. [/quote]
