A couple years ago, my DH had a vary serious medical issue and spent a week in the hospital.  By Christmas, the health issue was largely resolved.  He brought a big tray of cookies up to the section of the hospital he had been in as a thanks to the staff.   No one remembered him and they seemed annoyed at the distraction.  [/quote]

My twins were in the nicu for a few weeks after they were born. A couple weeks after they went home we bought some Starbucks coffee and some Harry and David treats to the nursing station. Not only did nobody remember us which I don’t care about, a nurse bitches at us that now she was going to gain weight! Oh well, still glad I got t for them. And before anybody says anything else we also donated a dozen sleepsacks in preemie sizes. [/quote]
