Another poster on this thread was appalled at the idea of high schoolers being across the street from a HS.

Clearly you have a weak council member, because they have been briefed and, presumably, weighed in. Didn't they share anything via their newsletters / twitter / Facebook? What did your ANC rep say when asked about this? Was there a resolution one way or another?

But if you want yet another opportunity, you better call all of the above, plus the chancellor, the DME, the mayor's rep for your ward, and ask for one.

I've never understood why Seaton, Garrison, and Cleveland parents didn't push harder on the middle school issue.  Three schools with active parent groups and a lot going for them, and yet there seems to be little interest in pushing Shaw Middle or improvements at Cardozo Middle.  [/quote]
