The choice came down to two horrendous candidates: a horrendous candidate with policies I (mostly) disagree with, or a horrendous candidate with policies I (mostly) agree with. Choice B won.
That you equate a not well qualified candidate with this train wreck suggests you hate your country and your children who inherit the mess.
....actually, I rethought my answer: I don't equate them. While they are both horrible, corrupt, and dishonest people, Hillary might be a tas etter on a personal level, but still pretty despicable. (She called all those Americans deplorable, for example.) Possibly. But no question that her democratic policies were worse. So I decided based on policies. Now I know that this is a hard concept for liberals, but if Democrats put up a decent candidate with integrity, I most likely would have gone with him/her even though the policies were wrong. But considering that the D candidate was almost as bad on a personal level, and substantially worse on a policy level, I went with policy.
Trump's policies are horrible. So if we think you're horrible it's because you like his policies and could tolerate his corruption/lies/mess. Not just because "you voted for the other candidate".
Trump's policies are horrible IN YOUR OPINION. In my opinion, Obama's policies were horrible. But I don't think you're horrible because you supported them. I think you're misguided, unrealistically idealistic, or what-have-you, but I'm not an intolerant person who thinks peoplem with different political positions are horrible. That's the liberal mindset. Charles Karauthammer had it right: conservatives think liberals are just dumb, but liberals think comservatives are evil.
