From my perspective as a Christian, God has not called humans to end poverty, but to give out share and help our fellow man.

The poverty in our world is the fault of humans- globally, we could end poverty, but human greed and selfishness would never go away so that could be accomplished.

As sinners and under the curse of separation from God, Humans will suffer. Hunger, sickness, loneliness, abuse, etc, and most importantly, death.

God has a plan. Jesus will come back and establish His Kingdom. Then and only then will humans who have accepted the selflesss offer of Christ’s sacrifice live beyond human suffering.

God loves us so much he offered us paradise. Man fell through his own choice.

Instead of leaving us to suffer eternally, he offers us a chance at redemption. He sacrificed His only Son so we may have that chance.
