Over 1/2 million of the kids from our NoVa public going to Ivies in recent years have been URMs. If they are white, they are either legacies or recruited athletes. The type of very smart white kids from middle-class families who were going to Ivies 30 years ago are more likely to end up at UVA, W&M or a SLAC.[/quote]
