Literally everything said on this thread is about poor whites, with the references to small towns and rural areas. In other words, a white skin isn't tantamount to privilege.

I made several posts about experiences being poor. I am African American from a small industrial town in Maryland that died in the  1960s and 1970s.  The rural areas near that town  had many African Americans   OP didn't say we had to post race and gender.  Are you uncomfortable with your "white privilege" and projecting on others [/quote]
