I am a 29 year old single woman that is living in the moment. I am advancing my career by going back to school. I've never been one to focus on getting married or having kids by a certain age. Last night I was having a conversation with a couple male friends. One ( engaged guy) told me I should put more focus into finding a husband because most men women single and over 30 as " damaged goods". If they were a catch, they would have already been taken. The other guys agreed, and then said while I am a good catch, men might immediately dismiss me because of my age. I believe it's bs buy curious what other, specifically males, think about their views?
Sorry, your friends are being honest. You’ll find someone, but it won’t be your first pick. You won’t be theirs either. Think is after being 30, sleeping with a bunch of guys and bringing a bunch of emotional baggage you’re on the cusp of not being marriage material. Most great women who have solid looks, good career and are great mother material have been taken already. Most guys have two, while some could get away with being early thirties but not many. If you’re going to wait too much longer you’re going to end up with divorced dads as the primary option. The only real exception is women who have been in a mult-year relationship. Even that has an issue as men will wonder why the guy didn’t really take the time to marry you if you’re marriage material.
