These Board members supported and encouraged the demeaning of earlier Board members with no evidence. Look around Fairfax County. This was an area of the Deep South in those days. Manassas is just a few miles away. [/quote] So...you are trying to argue that the decision to call a newly integrated school by the name of a Confederate figure was a coincidence, and your evidence is that Virginia was "an area of the Deep South" at the time? How do you expect that to convince a reasonable person that the reason behind the name was not racial animus, particularly considering all that Fairfax County was doing to avoid integration? [/quote]
