I'm beginning to wonder if this is legit. 1. It seems unusual that the blonde woman hasn't been identified yet. 2. The video was originally shared by a comedian who makes it clear that he wants to be credited as the original source (driving immense traffic to his FB page). 3. Th woman who took the video isn't giving any interviews or identifying herself. 4. No news sources have been able to confirm the story with anyone other than the comedian. I don't doubt whatsoever that this kind of stuff happens every day and I don't fault the woman who took the video for not wanting the attention, but all these things combined don't add up to me.
Man. The level of denial by white people about obviously provable facts is astounding, once they have the benefit of anonymity. Stuff like this happens on a daily basis in America. Perpetrated by white people. Go talk to some Muslim, brown or black friends about this, if you have any.
I don't think he's questioning whether incidents like this happen, or whether people are as rabidly xenophobic as this woman appears to be. We've all seen or heard of incidents like this, and worse. Rather, the user seems to be questioning whether this specific incident is legit, or whether it was staged as an internet prank to get attention. Recall the recent video of a man who claimed he was being kicked off a commercial airline flight because he was Muslim. Turned out the guy was a YouTube prankster who does things like that for a lark, for the attention it gets. Thus, it's not out of the realm of possibility that, while the attitude displayed here is quite real and common throughout this country, the video itself may be a hoax. At this point, I'm not sure, myself, but the truth will eventually come to light.
