If this is an APS parent, she is able to send her kids to Yorktown if she wants, even if she doesn't live in-bounds. There are open transfers to Yorktown (and Wakefield) from either of the other comprehensive high schools. The only schools you can't just opt into are W-L and H-B, which require applications/lottery. So, that's not the issue. [/quote]
