Just watched Oakton vs Lake Braddock on NFHS  The game was never really close.  Long possessions by Oakton offense to start the game.  Once the scoring started Oakton seemed to be in control of the game.  I think it was 6-1 at half time.  Lake Braddock never got closer than 8-4 I think.  Lake Braddock seemed to be starting to figure it out at the end of the game but it was too late.  Game was well played game between two competitive teams.  I don't know much about Oakton but they seem to have a lot of people who can score.  Offense did not seem to focus on any one person.  The NFHS audio was weird but their announcer during lineup said they had mostly freshman sophs and juniors.  Lake Braddock only had one player #13 I think that seemed to be making a difference.  Did not see much from LB #14 I heard he was good against Chantilly.  I am a little biased for the Bruins but the refs did not seem to call anything against oakton versus 3 or 4 penalties for LB.  I thought that was odd considering it was a physical game.  I may have missed 1 penalty. That said I don't think it would have mattered. Oakton had a response offensively for every LB push.  Tough start for the guys in purple.  I guess it's a good thing they don't play in the Liberty District 0-2 with Madison coming up.[/quote]
