Not only "first time here?"  but followed by "what can we do for you?"
A good campaign staff would have arrived first and prepped the people receiving the candidate about what they were there for.  But Vance's team, despite knowing that he has no instincts for public receptions, did not prep the people which only makes Vance look even more awkward than he normally does.

This is like parading your introverted cousin, who is shy around people they don't know and to keep bringing them to happy hours and singles meets and pushing them into a crowd and telling them to introduce themselves and then to mingle.  Awkward and embarrassing.  And no one on his staff seems to be trying to make anything easier on him.  It's only highlighting how terrible a choice Trump made and making him flail in public.

Yes, Trump actually made a worse decision than Sarah Palin and i didn't think I would see that in my lifetime.[/quote]
