[/quote] From the little that I (we) know, I think she probably did have some sort of psychotic break, but if you are capable of having a psychotic break that leads you to murder three babies (and it wasn't a snap instant like three gunshots- it seems like it would take 5 minutes for EACH KID from what I read)- then you are not safe to be in society and you need to be in an institution somewhere to protect society from your possible future psychotic episodes. I do not think that a parent who, on autopilot, leaves their sleeping baby in the car because they do not typically have their baby in the car with them in the mornings, needs to be institutionalized for the safety of society.
