I'd be sad that the passengers didn't use better judgment than to get into a car with a teen they knew was drinking, after they themselves had been drinking, and not wear seat belts. We preach, beg, implore our kids not to do these things. So I'd never forgive myself if my kids died this way. [/quote]

That might be the case for your kids but certainly not all. I've been called more than once and asked to pick up kids (my own and various others) who got into situations that they needed help extricating themselves from. While I was not happy with the situations they found themselves in, I was thrilled they knew to call me.[/quote]
