The board is responsible for the placement of that man. Period. He's so creepy, why didn't a single one of them question if he was really the best fit? They're supposed to be the most "elite" of Washington, DC. But not a single one would dare question what had to have been an intuitive nagging that the guy was creepy. There are just too many people who felt it.[/quote]

Just curious which question they failed to ask? “Do you fantasize about abusing children?” “Do you traffic in child pornography?”

They interviewed him, presumably spoke with his former employers, presumably did a criminal background check.  Help me understand the specific measures that would have satisfied you.

Missed the point. It wasn't questions. It's the fact that there was at least one person on that search committee that had to be like, "hhmm, something is off about this." But people like them put their own connections and professional and social reputations above what would have been the right thing to do. So so many people got an off vibe about that guy, but everybody was too afraid to say anything.[/quote]
