The SEC voters won’t be impressed.
By "SEC voters" do you mean conservative White men? Because plenty of voters in SEC states will be impressed.
Citation?
Video of Kamala Harris' rally in Atlanta.
You think Walz is going to have appeal throughout the US?
Absolutely. I’m as waspy elite as they come. Walz is nothing like me. But he has a record of public service that goes back decades and the anecdotes coming out about him show an authentic person who cares about making people’s lives better. So while I might not agree on every policy point, he adds to a ticket that puts country over personal enrichment. I don’t care to have my tax dollars go into the private pockets of grifters.
I’m from a similar world and I totally agree. There are hundreds of millions of potential voters and they come with many different stories and styles. The Democrats have been, IMO, a bit too focused on certain attributes for their candidates. Walz seems like the best outreach and inclusion from them on a national ticket in a very long time. And to get specific, Walz is the first Democrat on national ticket in decades who I can’t imagine who it is we know in common, and that includes Harris.
