Absolutely. I’m as waspy elite as they come. Walz is nothing like me. But he has a record of public service that goes back decades and the anecdotes coming out about him show an authentic person who cares about making people’s lives better.

So while I might not agree on every policy point, he adds to a ticket that puts country over personal enrichment. I don’t care to have my tax dollars go into the private pockets of grifters. [/quote]

I’m from a similar world and I totally agree. There are hundreds of millions of potential voters and they come with many different stories and styles. The Democrats have been, IMO, a bit too focused on certain attributes for their candidates. Walz seems like the best outreach and inclusion from them on a national ticket in a very long time.

And to get specific, Walz is the first Democrat on national ticket in decades who I can’t imagine who it is we know in common, and that includes Harris.[/quote]
