His cognitively-challenged followers complain no matter what. If normal legal procedures are used, they think it's unfair. If he obstructs justice aggressively and is protected by morally bankrupt Republican politicians such that he cannot be indicted, they think it proves he's innocent. And if ever he really is charged and sentenced, they'll think he's a martyr and the end of the world is nigh, and probably try to kill law enforcement and Democrat representatives, just as some deranged individuals did on Jan 6th and August 11th.

Trump is responsible for the deaths of his own supporters and well as officers of the law.

Yet despite the mounting death toll, never will his supporters realize that they died for a grifter. Dying for your country is one thing. But dying for Trump?!?!?! Who doesn't care one little bit about anyone but himself?
