PP. Not bitter. Just furious. Our economy was the envy of the world and despite a delay in becoming a green energy powerhouse, the foundation had been laid for us to eat China’s lunch.  We were the indispensable nation which gave us incredible power and a standard of living that most other nations can only dream of.

But we elected an aggrieved demented old man with enough charisma to make a bunch of Americans believe that their misfortunes were the fault of “immigrants”. The stock market action would seem to under cut the underlying premise of the post, since the stock market is a predictor of future economic activity.[/quote]
