We share the same concerns then. The brand new school isn’t just going to magically provide the same opportunities as the established schools. That’s just a fact and people on this board will just keep saying kids are resilient and they’ll do fine at any school.

New school needs to be populated. Focus should be to make new schools as good as possible from say 1 and not argue about why we should not populate new schools. Not populating is not an option.[/quote]

Funny it started with a new school needs to be built to relieve overcrowding. Now the narrative shifted to new school needs to be populated.

Don’t see the overcrowding as MCPS projected a few years ago to justify the crown high school. For long people on this forum said Wootton is only in this study because of the Rio triangle as QO/RM/gaithersburg have enough students to populate crown. Guess what? The projection was completely wrong.
