"My style of deal-making is quite simple and straightforward. I aim very high, and then I just keep pushing and pushing and pushing to get what I’m after. Sometimes I settle for less than I sought, but in most cases I still end up with what I want. Leverage is having something the other guy wants. Or better yet, needs. Or best of all, cannot do without." -The Art Of The Deal
That’s not what he did. He imagined a problem based on ignorance, announced an idiotic policy that blew up global markets, then backed down to a still idiotic policy that he does not even understand. He’s an idiot who is extremely dangerous because he doesn’t know he is an idiot and because Republicans are too chickenshit to stop him from destroying the country with his ignorant impulses.
China being our enemy and our leaders selling our manufacturing base to China is imagined? You should tell that to Joe Biden…who also put strong tariffs on China and believes exactly that. You should also tell that to Bernie Sanders, who has been chastising big corporations for moving to China for decades.
China doesn’t pay the tariffs. This is nothing like Biden’s China policy or Sanders’ because Trump also alienated and pissed off every other country in the world because he is so ignorant he doesn’t know how tariffs work.
