Yes, I actually did!  In fact, I have gone quite a big beyond a Master's Degree and am a voracious reader.

But, the person who really taught me to think critically and pay attention to resources was my high school American History teacher who was also my Econ teacher.  She related current events to history,  She required a "term paper" which demanded extensive research from[b] primary sources.[/b]  This was pre-internet and I spent hours in the public library doing research.

Another thing she did was bring in newspaper articles and had us underline adjectives so that we could learn how the reporter or opinion writer was influencing us.  Another reading requirement was [i]The Hidden Persuaders.[/i]  For those who don't know, it is a book about the advertising industry and its influence.  It also applies to politics.

This background served me well in college and beyond.  It still serves me well.

So, just to point out......

The RedState  article takes quotes and excerpts from testimony and transcripts and lays out an argument that Susan Rice may well NOT have been present at a meeting she claims to have attended.

IOW - it uses PRIMARY SOURCES to make the argument.

Had you even looked at the piece, you would have known that.  You don't have to agree with the author's questions and conclusions, but you also don't get to call it "not legitimate" because you don't like it.  [/quote]
