But here we are.  Even if ECNL came up with that rule, which is doubtful most misaligned Aug players won't have that rule in the feeder systems.  [/quote]
It's in all the leagues best interest to have Aug birthdays play with their grade. ECNL doesn't want to work with a lower league that hands them a ball of tangled up Christmas lights. They want everything aligned and setup correctly before getting to them.

What?  My kid is an October I don't care.   Last year she had 3 Aug birthdays on her team all in the correct grade a year above her.   We all know clubs will make misaligned Aug birthdays play down.  You can say choice all you want, but that just won't happen.  The message of reducing misalignment went to reducing trapped.  Knowing full well that only the unicorns will play up from the beginning.   [/quote]August kids can play up, it just might 2nd teams instead of first teams. Bam, now August kids can play in college. Your dream fulfilled.
