Got the below from the FAQs from BRYC's website when some parents were concerned about the kids not being put into a league at BRYC.  Funny that they ended up at NCSL anyway after telling everyone league play is not important etc etc.  Do parents have to pay more now that they are in NCSL?

9. Would the club reconsider their plans to not have the younger ages play in a league? There is a benefit from playing in structured real games on a regular basis with a referee so the kids can learn the rules and have fun practicing the skills they learned during the training sessions.

All age groups U9 – U12 will get official matches in events as this development model allows us to train the players to learn the game (rules) in an environment that is more conducive to player and team development.

11. Will the decision to not play in a league at the younger ages reduce club fees for those ages?

No; the league fee is a very small portion of the annual fee paid into the club (about 6%). The club is planning to include event fees and fees for ScrimmageFest league into annual fees paid into club.
