Quan is the brains behind VDA success. BP brings recruiting prowess.
QP has done NOTHING on the field for VDA. For VDA girls, QP has empowered the right people to move the club forward. That includes hiring BP which wouldn’t have happened if a certain VDA coach didn’t intervene and keep BP from going to another DMV club when he left FCV. VDA was a top 25 club before BP. It will be top 5 in a few years with BP steering the ship as long as ML and AS stay as involved as they are now. When BP left FCV, he could’ve gone to any club in the area, but he chose to go to Vda and definitely doesn’t make the kind of money that he would make at other places further north. I think that says something.
its giving cognitive dissonance Go wipe your mouth. You get no praise in here until you have results in the u16 and below.
U16s won MA. Have been top 3 in conference every year. What are results at the younger ages? Does that mean winning? Loudoun always had winning teams at u13. How’d that end up? Arlington always wins at u13. How are they in the recruiting ages?
and how are the 15s, 14s, 13, and below. Fairfax and Arlington own those age groups and will continue to do so on the girls side. Say what you want about MV but those teams are solid and Arlington is only getting better. They will keep those teams together and put up numbers in the recruiting ages. Trust me. No one wants a to switch clubs and start over when they have the winning recipes.
Arlington 15s are a strong team. Union 11s are far from it. 13/14 winning is different than recruiting age winning. Talk to the Arlington 07, 08, 09, 10’s. Union 2012 sitting in third with half the season to go and trapped players being eligible this spring isn’t as solid as you might think. Kick it hard and run fast! Arlington 2012 really solidified with roster pickups over the summer and might beat out Charlotte to win MA. Union 2013 is a strong team right now. Arlington looks like everyone else in the division. Too early to tell if they’ll pan out.
