This is a fantastic example of how authoritarian movements build consensus and spread lies on the internet.

1. Manufacture a problem—&gt; undocumented workers, “riots”
2. Repeat it until it sounds real
3. Offer a violent solution (national guard, Marines)
4. Pretend the people asked for the solution
