That is a great question with new roster limits for the 2025-2026 academic year. The NCAA new roster limit for women's lacrosse is 38. Let's use a newer school, South Florida, as an example. On their website for the 2024-2025 season they have 40 players listed. No seniors and 6 grad students. After this season, their returning roster would have 34 players. They have 9 student athletes listed as 2025 recruits. That would put their roster at 43 players. That is 5 players over the 38 roster limit for their sport. Coaches will have to make decisions on how to get down their numbers to meet the new roster limit.[/quote]South Florida is not in a P4 conference.  Have they given any indication they'll opt in to the settlement roster limits?  With their low tuition and supposedly offering up a bunch of full rides, it seems more plausible they'd go with unlimited roster and try to get lucky in numbers.

All of that would revolve around whether they'd want to deal with revenue sharing to football players.  Again, given the caveats around that with NIL restrictions, and their fiscal position vs P5 teams, would seem more plausible they'd just use their money raise donations for straight NIL to give any money incentive to football outside of the revenue share.[/quote]
