People should keep in mind that many didn't vote "for" Biden. They voted against Trump and will likely vote against him again. This election remains very competitive. Anyone who feels certain their candidate has it in the bag should just spend their energy on yard work until 2028. Anyone who thinks otherwise should haunt these boards and scream into the ether like the rest of us.
I draw a different conclusion, PP. They voted against Trump, who seemed like the least rational and competent candidate at the time. Now for some of these protest voters, it surely seems as if it's Biden who is the least able to shoulder the burden of the Presidency. Don't forget these protesst voters aren't policy-oriented - they're not voting on abortion, taxes, tariffs, immigration. They're voting on who can reasonably be expected to stand up, walk about, talk in a normal tone of voice. The bar is SO PAINFULLY LOW. And after the debate, and Trump's fist-pumping right after his attempted assassination... ...well, I can see how many voters would prefer Trump over Biden. It's not an intellectual choice. It's come down to basic physics. So no, on the contrary, I think Trump is going to win. Unless Democrats can put Harris on top of the ticket and pick a young white centrist male VP (to compete with Vance), and then the odds become 50-50.
I disagree. Most swing voters and women will be repelled by a Trump/Vance ticket. It is too extreme and right wing. They will vote against that. Not for Biden.
Or they just won't vote, because they can't stomach either option. Low voter turnout is how Trump becomes president again.
Again, the Trump ticket is too extreme. People will be motivated to vote against that Totally different story if a more moderate ticket.
L O L
You like the idea of a criminal running the country? Sad.
