I cannot believe this is actually something that could go to trial. Everyone takes a plea deal when it comes to this kind of stuff or like the To Catch a Predator type of situation. When do these cases actually go to trial? I will be shocked if he doesn’t take a plea deal in the end because the trial would be crazy. [/quote]

I don't think it's arrogance as much as blind trust in faith.

I had a relative who was extremely religious like they are. Very self righteous when it came to religion. Anyway, when they got seriously ill, they refused medical treatment and instead decided to put their faith 100% in god. God knew the plan and if it was their time to die, that was his will.
